Description Are you prospecting for your next challenge? Fluke Calibration has an outstanding opportunity for a product innovation professional with a proven track record of turning customer research insights into breakthrough solutions. You will perform exploratory primary research to identify high-value customer problems and define new-to-world software solutions for precision measurement products and services. You will own the resulting product vision and serve as the advocate for the customer on cross-functional new software product development teams. As the software product vision owner, you will help manage software product lifecycles from ideation through business planning, strategy development, solution validation, technical analysis and forecasting. You will use your skills to drive innovation and new growth at Fluke through novel customer segmentations that advantage Fluke, as well as identifying, evaluating, and recommending new markets and businesses. You will provide deep customer insights and customer application expertise to business leadership, including corporate level executives. You will be working with a world-class team of innovators with a proven record of success.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute international primary research, including extensive end user field research, to identify, quantify, define, and guide the development of innovative software products.
  • Be a customer advocate - plan and accomplish Voice of the Customer (VOC). Responsible for needs discovery, segmentation, opportunity sizing, value creation, and analysis.
  • Achieve your vision through the deployment of Fortive Business System (FBS) Growth Tools and Flukes agile tollgate software development processes.
  • Responsible for key development project artifacts, including financial Pro Forma, Business Case, and Customer Requirements Specification.
  • Deliver research insights and results through a combination of written and stand-up reports to group executives.
  • Maintain expertise on products, technologies, and research methods through training and research.
  • Perform comprehensive market analysis to identify strategic new markets to profitably enter.
Provide guidance in the development of product category innovation roadmaps, including identification of key technology and solution gaps. Qualifications
  • Proven track record defining breakthrough software products and customer solutions through primary and secondary research. Research experience should include Voice of the Customer (VOC), market opportunity analysis, field observation, and quantitative methods, including surveying.
  • Must have a Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, Internet technologies, engineering or a similar field of study. Broad technical experience with electrical, temperature, and pressure physics a plus.
  • Ability and desire to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
  • Must be a quick learner that can operate independently under predetermined goals in a fast paced work environment.
  • Software planning and product management experience a plus.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment a plus.
  • Advanced marketing or financial training or MBA a plus.
